Thought I'd give this forum a bit of a bump to stay ahead of the Africa forum... Does anyone here have a fanatical and broad appreciation of fantasy fiction? I've been working on an idea for a fantasy novel for a while now, but I'd like someone with a good appreciation of the genre to get their take on whether it works or not. I'm not naive enough to think that my take on the genre is wildly original, but I'd like to think that it may be a little outside of the regular elves-and-dwarves 15-books-in-the-trilogy type novel. Think James Ellroy of LA Confidential fame writing fantasy with the society derived from the Victorian era rather than a feudal base. Any takers for reviewers/someone to bounce ideas off? Cheers, Nick
