How can one make a simple triangle in photoshop, three equal decently thick lines, sounds simple but I cant figure it out...i use the line tool but it keeps making this arrow shape...help

2 ways 1) using the line tool. click on the small drop-down menu (next to the shape selection at the top) and un-check the arrowheads. 2) select the polygon and change it to 3 sides to make a solid triangle. Duplicate that layer and select it. Edit/Fill/Backround color. Hit Control T (transform)and shirink it down to your liking. Once the size is right, link the 2 triangle layers. Hit Control E (merge linked) That should do it

I use Adobe Illustrator to make shapes and export it from AI to PS.

Why? Vector based artwork is so much more crisp all around.so use both programs for what they are best at.
