First off, I want to think SILK and XXX for the help. I have checked out both schools. I am looking for a little more input before I drop some fairly decent cash to join. i am interested in no gi with a mma feel. Grabaka seems to have this. I would like some input on the quality of teaching, and their ground game. This is at the Grabaka gym, not at the Shinjuku sports hall. Yukis gym seemed cool. I felt like it was more of a sport BJJ place. Just afeeling on both, that"s why I am asking. Any info is appreciated. Lance P.S.SILK I emailed you a few days ago. Email me so we can throw back a few macevoigt@hotmail.com

I was told that Grabaka is better for bigger guys and people who are already well skilled. As there was not a whole bunch of instruction, rather just lots of sparring (the way of many Japanese dojos - i have found). They said anybody culd train - but kinda hinted that they went hardcre, and if you couldn't hang they would wipe the floor with you. BTW - I haven't trained there - just what a good friend of mine told me after cecking a lot of schools out (also this was a long time ago).

Hi all, Joined Grabaka tonight. Seem to be a nice bunch of guys. The guys are fairly big. I am 5'7 and 175, but used to training with big guys. I like the mma influence on the grappling. Bring on the Advil. Lance

hiroki kazuki, Paraestra Tokyo is great, but I think in terms of pure jiujitsu AXIS is also held in very high regard.
