Fight Factory / I. M. A.
I know skip and respect him alot as a person, and as a fighter. He has plans to be on my card on nov 12th and if i can get him matched again in the future i will have him back as long as he wants to fight. even if he is 80. how many of you want to be able to do this as long as you can. as long as he keeps up his training and his health alows what is the problem? that is what effects us all! The Fight Factory.

I had the honor of fighting Skip, so I know he is for real. Skip is in better shape than most guys half his age and twice as strong. When I first heard I was fighting him, i thought "no way, a 60y/o fighter?", but then I saw a picture of him and read about his background. I would be lying if I were to say that I wasn't scared of what he could do to me, that was the only thing on my mind, not his age. Skip is now a good friend of mine and true inspiration to me and lots of people. He is one of the nicest and classiest guys I've ever met as well. Any of Skip's future opponents should be honored to fight him, and be careful because he is a dangerous opponent, regardless of his age. LawdyMama, is there still any plans for Skip to fight Severn? That would be a great fight and I'll be rooting for Skip as always! TTT for Skip Hall!!

Let me be clear. I absolutely respect Skip annd his right to fight. I think it is completly awe inspiring. My Grandfather at 83 years old (with prostate cancer I will add) kicks most guys ass in the physical labor department. I still think I wouldnt want to fight him in a match. If he attacked me then it would be on and I may get my ass kicked. No ego about that...

If I was a fighter sure. I wouldn't underestimate him either. Hell, If I didn't know his age, I wouldn't be able to tell by looking at him. He looks more fit than alot of fighters I have seen.

Skip, maybe we should fight. I am 43 years young and a 205lb fighter. We could call it Battle of the Century or Battle of the Ages, literally...I commend you for doing what you love doing. You obviously don't let people dictate what you should be doing at your age. Tony Ross Integrated Fighting tross@indy.rr.com

When i first heard about a 59 year old fighting in England i said a lot of things like "it shouldnt happen" "that's a joke" etc. Then i actually met and spoke to Skip. Learnt about his background and saw him fight. The man is a true warrior with the heart of a lion, and can still hang in there and dish it out in the cage or ring. He's a credit to the sport and a gentleman to boot. And i and many others felt honoured to meet him. Best of luck in your future fights m8 and for teh record i wouldnt wanna be in there with Skip..no way but that's only because he's a heavyweight ;)

Hall is a good example of getting old with health. But I think he should fight against fighter with a similar age. I think Hall x Rei Zulu would be nice!

Does he still post here?  I went away from here around 2004 and am way out of the loop.

(Just stopped being on the internet so much is why I stopped coming by here, not prison or anything negative!)

Didn't Skip Hall know Grandmaster Bailey somewhat well? I remember him being put in an awkward situation when Chimono's death was being investiaged.
