Hey Guys, I'm thinking of joining a wildlife rescue service. Since I have space and some spare cages and tanks I thought I'd do something good. Elvis

Awesome, i'm sure they'll appreciate it! There's always a shortage of people willing to foster herps sadly.I'm sure Aus is no different

I'm looking at doing birds, herps and mammals. Should keep me freaking busy. But then again, I might be able to get myself a pet Koala or Kangaroo which I've always wanted... :) Elvis

Have you picked an organisation, Elvis? I think WIRES is active around your area, and they're always looking for surrogate "mums" for their animals. http://www.wires.org.au/

Both organisations don't have any courses til next year.  That means I can't do anything for them til I'm trained.  Very dissappointed about that.  Now I have to wait til next year.

Funnily enough Jack has been doing very well.  He's alot calmer and really enjoys himself nowdays.  Doesn't seem the monster he was when I first got him (still has the odd screaming fit).

I've helped the vet out with a couple of birds lately.  Looks like the new course is coming around again.  Should be able to do it this time.  Looking forward to it.

Well I am now finally a registered wildlife carer for Sydney Metro Wildlife.  I've done the course.  Now I just need to wait for the injured animals to call me so I can help... ;)

Ok so far I've had about 8 lorikeets come through... currently still have 4 with me.  1 Sulphur Crested Cockatoo.  And finally my first Herp, a Blue Tongued Lizard... Woo Hoo!  :)

Not really.  I can keep them while I reabilitate them.  When they're better I have to release them.
