so i graduated last may with a BA in English (what was I thinking) and I havent found a promising career path as of yet so I was thinking about going back to school. I was considering 3 options let me know what you guys think 1)Master of Science in Exercise and Wellness Promotion - this one just seems like something I would WANT to do and that I would enjoy; however I fear there isnt a big market out there for it. 2) Sports Management - Again, working in a field that I enjoy, however I dont have much of a business background so that could hurt me 3) Master of Arts in Student Personnel - which leads towards resident life programs at colleges and positions as Deans in Student Affairs/Admissions Thoes are my current ideas, I am hating life as a Manager of a Video Store.

First off, you arent the only one to be having this idea so keep that in mind. Alot of working people are going back to get other degrees cause they cant get work so spots are tight. Your problem is going to be getting into programs as in actually have the college credit so you can even apply. 1)Master of Science in Exercise and Wellness Promotion - This program at school thats worth a damn is going to want a minor or more in biology or something similar. "2) Sports Management - Again, working in a field that I enjoy, however I dont have much of a business background so that could hurt me" Where you good (B+ or A) in your math and econ classes? If not dont even think about it. Either you wont get in, or if you do you will have to take undergrad classes for no credit just to catch up.

One of the most fun jobs I have ever had was when I was the GM for a chain of video stores...Those were the days.

"so i graduated last may with a BA in English (what was I thinking) and I havent found a promising career path as of yet so I was thinking about going back to school." just as long as you aren't one of those BA in English idiots that were bragging about their 4.0 while spending their nights watching Sex in the city and friends, I'll wish you luck :-)

Bart: [after they watch a foreign film] I was so bored I cut the pony tail off the guy in front of us. [holds pony tail to his head] Bart: Look at me, I'm a grad student. I'm 30 years old and I made $600 last year. Marge: Bart, don't make fun of grad students. They've just made a terrible life choice.

If you're single, do it because you can do more college girls. If you're attached, go and make money.
