You two sound very agitated by my posts. They were intended, as per the quote on the top, to stimulate some kind of discussion. I appoligize if i offended you. Perhaps if you've got a better idea on how to discuss philisophical matters on this forum, then you ought to do it. If you guys don't like my posts, and don't wish to discuss like adults then perhaps you should stay away from my threads to keep your blood pressure in check. Thanks for your time, and thanks for contributing thoughtful discussion to this forum. -doug-

I think you got a misinterpretation of the meaning behind my words. I'm agitated only in the sense of moved to action (in this case discussion). Im by no means offended by your posts. Just having a hard nosed argument.

"hard-nosed" and saying things like "assinine" are two different things. I appreciate your willingness to discuss though. I'm glad you've actually started to :) -doug-

I call BS on this. Vermonter claims to be posting quotes for the sake of simulating discussions. Methinks he is just doing it to spark arguments. rna

"Vermonter claims to be posting quotes for the sake of simulating discussions. Methinks he is just doing it to spark arguments." For a non-native-speaker: What the hell is the difference?

I disagree with rna, if gustos interpretaion is correct, I can´t see that vermonter has tried to start any flamewars.

I'm just trying to get people to talk. I dont care if they "argue" or "discuss" just as long as some good philosophy comes out of it. -doug-
