I am a huge fan of the Panasonic DVX100a. I am currrently shooting 2 documentaries on it and have done music work as well with it. I love it.

The CSPT
It's going to depend on budget. I use a Canon XL1s and GL2. I use several others for special duty - Canon Optura 400 and a cheap JVC and a pinhole/helmet cam. High end Canons are great. High end Sony are nice too. Each has a different look. You should go and check them out for yourself if possible. The most important thing is going to be learning how to use the camera you buy. They are all operator dependant. Demi www.DemiBarbito.com
