"MAYHEM IN MONTANA" AT METRAPARK ARENA WORLD CLASS FIGHTING IN THE 30 FOOT STEEL CAGE Billings, MT Extreme, no holds barred fighting in the 30 foot steel cage comes to Montana on Saturday, April 30th at MetraPark. The event titled Mayhem in Montana will mark the debut of the controversial professional fighting sport of Mixed Martial Arts in this state. The event will feature two title fights - a World Middleweight Championship and a Women's US Middleweight Championship. Mixed Martial Arts allows the fighters to punch, kick, knee, throw, choke, forearm, arm bar, leg lock and otherwise incapacitate their opponents. They are not allowed to bite, bend back their opponents toes or fingers, spit or pull their opponents hair. Otherwise, just about anything else goes while locked in the cage. Women fight under the same rules as men. Opponents are matched by weight and skill level. The main event will feature two-time UFC victor Joe Riggs of Phoenix in a World Middleweight Championship fight against the Randy Couture trained Ed Herman of Portland, Oregon. In the semi-main event, current International Fighting Championship US Women's Champion Amanda Buckner of Maine will attempt to defend her title against Gracie trained Heather Soderquist out of Concord, CA. In addition to these two fights, Mayhem in Montana will also feature two four-man single elimination tournaments and a couple of preliminary bouts. The event is being promoted by IFC Caged Combat Ltd in conjunction with MetraPark. All of the fights take place in the IFC's 30 foot steel cage. The event will be televised for rebroadcast around the world. Great fights, great music and hot cage girls - it all starts at MetraPark Arena at 7:30 PM on Saturday April 30th.
