Im looking for a decent miniDV camera that will work in bad lighting (both high and low) for filming fights. One of my friends has a sony, so I started looking there and found this but I really dont know much about it. I like this one because its small. I figured I would spend about 600-800 for a camera, and this is at the high end. Does anyone know about this particular camera, or have a better suggestion? Thanks

This is the other one I was looking at, but I like the first one because it is so small, its easy to carry around.

Joe...Check out Camcorder Info Look up a review on the Panasonic PV-GS65. This is a great site to read reviews on products. This is a 3 chip camera under $600 that looks to be a huge break through at this price point. I shoot on the Panasonic DVX100 and love what Panasonic has done.

Lynn, thanks for the info. I got the camera, and really like it for video (the main reason I bought it). The still pictures look like ass though, very grainy. I didnt expect the stills to be any good, so Im not worried about it. Thanks for the help.

Joe, Cool. Glad I could be of help. You can't really expect to get solid stills out of a video camera at that price point. You did get a great camera for the cash though!
