What martial art are you a blackbelt and how long you been training? Also, does anybody have any colored belt in another martial art while being a blackbelt in another? This is interesting stuff so please answer if it applies.

I'm not a black belt in anything. Green in TKD, blue in Modern Arnis, and red in HKD, but only the black is leather for my work pants.

No my belt is not from Eddie. I put that in my profile because of Eddie's no gi philosophy and totally gay looking My Space pic. I thought it was funny. I respect and admire Eddie's innovations and I look forward to one day going to 10th Planet to train with him.

I was offered a black belt in Karate after 3 years, but I left as I didn't feel I'd attained any useful skill. I spent the next decade training in Wing Chun, which doesn't have belts. I'd previously done a very little bit of Judo, and have since somehow gotten a blue belt in BJJ.

Keep in mind that only Japanese (karate, judo, jj, aikido, etc.) and Japanese derived arts (most Korean arts, kempo, BJJ) give belts. Other arts may have other ranking systems (e.g. sashes, copied after the belt system) or none at all.

It was just "Japanese", no other name such Danzan Ryu, Mi Yama Ryu, etc. Although I did a bit of Mi Yama Ryu. My instructor was a guy named Eddie Kent in the Bronx, and we used to get Mr. V- (V-Jitsu) to come in once in a while and work with us.
