Just finished my first two years of engineering school with a 3.5 GPA. Christ that was tough! Feels so fuckin' good, though! Now I can start working on some real shit! By the way, Statics and Dynamics can kiss my ass!!!

I haven't decided my concentration yet. DSP does look cool, but then again so does opto-electronics. Hard to choose.

That's what so cool about EE, you can do both if you like! Tell me more about optical signal processing? What kind of applications does it have?

Hope so! Hoping to take some classes in that if i get to UC as an exchange student, not sure what engineering classes would fit me best though as a physics major.

what's some good books or projects i can do myself to learn about electrical engineering? i want to take it in school but have alot of prerequisites to take first.

There are plenty of good websites out there showing basics of EE. Just do a google search. And I know what you mean about prereqs...I just finished two years worth of them!
