I still haven't managed to cure Jack of his biting habit.  He still wants to take your fingers off.  I haven't been able to handle him this whole time.

Lately I've started towelling him to get him out of the cage.  I've been giving him scratches while towelled (so he can't bite me) to get him used to being handled.  He's starting to get used to the towel and not panic.  Last night I got him out and even put him on a stand and talked/sang/danced with him.  Hopefully this method will help break him of his habit.

Keep it up imo. I don't have any real experience with birds, but it seems there are a lot of consistencies with training animals and it seems being consistant and firm pays off in the long run. Handsome little bird though man.

Thanks Spank I will.  I'll try and get him out for a little bit every night...

Mine's got a great personality, but it is far from sweet.  But I'm working on it.  He was a rescue bird (had been mistreated) so it's taking time calming him down... but luckily for him I've got patience.

Thats a pretty cool hat your bird is wearing in the second pic.  Makes him look like a pimp.
