Your camera might not be able to do this and if you have a 24p or 30p camera you probably wouldn't need to do this. If your DV camera is decent, adjust the shutter speed to 1/30th of a second. What this does is gives you a pseudo 30p image since each of the 60i fields gets the same 1/30th/s image. I was archiving a bunch of old video back on to tape and I shot a lot of concert footage with two or three cameras set this way and the footage has a very distinct look to it, not as smooth as regular 60i and not as stepped as true 24p or even 30p for that matter (IMO).

SatanJR is correct. You can do a ton of stuff adjusting your shutterspeed and adjusting in post. You can simulate overcranking etc. Some cool shit can be done.
