In an effort to pimp out the numbers on the Iowa forum, who trains strictly at home or with a group of guys in a home setting.  I know that DMEF is out of 2 basements, but these are nice basements and look a lot like Big Boi's Boom Boom room. (stripper pole included.)

I also think that Keoni has his group train at his house.  Any others?

I would like this thread to be removed on account that it is discriminatory against people who don't have garages. Greg, I'm very disapointed with you and I'd like to think that next time you would show better judgement when making threads.

I am a big fan of Freestyle showing up out of nowhere, with no opinion, and just giving a TTT. Nice!

My basement is pretty stocked. Everything but a training parter. Iowa, go figure.

Where are you at?  I agree that it is tough to get training partners.  No matter where you are at I am sure that there is someone that is interested, but finding them is the tough part.  Everyone that finds our gym is through word of mouth.  We have done a shitty job of advitising and it does not even mention BJJ in our yellow page listing.  That is going to change soon I hope.  There is a group of UNI students that are working on an add for the paper that will be coming out soon.  With the success of TUF hopefully we will be able to get a lot of new members.  We are looking to double our training area to 1,200 sq. feet and add 30 new members.  Hopefully this all works out.  Anyway, just tell people about your hobbies and let them know so that by word of mouth someone can find you.

From Ottumwa. I have been pretty strapped for time over the last term so had I anyone to train with I wouldn't have had the time...but that is changing in about 2 weeks. I'd like to be ready to fight again in mid to late january. I've heard there is a decent fighter from New London? named Gabe Lemley who I've been trying to get some contact info on. No movement on that front in the last 30 days. Gets a little depressing at times.

About 2.5 to 3 hrs. Its kind of been a plan for me to head that way when I'm done with college. Kind of a make it or break deal that will either make me, or convince me to give it up. Until then, who knows. Ive head of someone from New London I'd like to train with but can't seem to get any contact info on him.

twinstealth, head down to the boxing club in Ott. They have some guys that train MMA down there. Ask for Albert Newberry.
