his Prime. I think that Mark Kerr, in his PRIME, could take Fedor down and beat on him or win a decision. I think Fedor could catch Kerr on the way in but if there is someone who I think could beat Fedo, its the old Kerr...The Kerr in his Prime. I don't think ANYONE could beat Kerr when he was at his best. Thats just my opinion though..? Do you think he'd do well, or would Kerr in his Prime get smoked too..? ttt

Nope, Fedor would do what Igor did, but probably in a more horrific fashion. And this is a big-time Kerr fan talking here.

When was Kerr ever submitted? Kerr was the most successful ADCC competitor ever. That said, Fedor puts him on his back with a judo throw and wins by G&P.

As everyone is rightly pointing out, prime Kerr couldn't even beat 5'8" Igor, who is four inches shorter, 20 pounds lighter, and, as good as he is, worse in every area than Fedor (with the exception of KO power).

No way. The only striker that Kerr ever faced that posed a MAJOR threat was Igor. and Igor was a primitive, miniaturized form of Fedor. Kerr, in his prime, would not have been able to stall and ground n' pound his way to a decision. Please take note of the mental conditioning of these two fighters. Kerr was prone to breakdown. Not including his fluke loss to Yamamoto in 2004 (when he DDT'ed himself), in the final year-and-a-half of his career, his record was as follows: 2-3. He beat Igor Borisov and Enson Inoue and lost to Heath Herring (who is NOT gay), Fujita, and Igor. I remember when Fedor fought Fujita...do you all remember? When was his prime? Are you referring to the years 1997-98, when he was destroying individuals like Moti Horenstein, Branko Cikatic, Dan Bobish, Greg "Ranger" Stott, Takada, and Dwayne Cason (who the fuck is "Dwayne Cason?")? Fedor has outclassed and outperformed Kerr on all levels. Sure, Kerr could take him down. So did Coleman, Randleman, and Minotauro...and they were all MMA Fodder for the LAST RUSSIAN EMPEROR...

I'm also a huge Kerr fan, but lets be realistic. Kerr would give Fedor a hell of a fight early in R1 and then lose......... Fedor would take him 10/10.

OK YF, I guess Kerr never accomplished much of anything then...other than being an NCAA finalist, World Team Trials participant, World Cup participant, National Freestyle Wrestling Games participant, Good Will Games Champion, WVC 3 Tournament Champion, UFC 14 Heavyweight Tournament Champion, UFC 15 Heavyweight Tournament Champion and 2001 Abu Dhabi Submission Fighting Championships Superfight Champion

Fedor has shown many times that keeping him on his back is a very difficult thing to do. That being the only way Kerr could beat him, it makes Mark Kerr's chances look very slim, prime or not.

"Kerr was the most successful ADCC competitor ever. That said, Fedor puts him on his back with a judo throw and wins by G&P. " I think Arona was more successful, plus he beat Kerr in a superfight.

I doubt he could beat the current Fedor. Kerr might have been able to beat the Fedor that fought in RINGS but he has progressed so much in the last few years.

Kerr would probably be able to take him down like Coleman did at first, and then hold on for dear life. Eventually Kerr would gas, and Fedor would do whatever he wants with him.

Kerr won his division in ADCC two years in row (99 and 2000 I think), beating 8 bjj black belts in the process before winning the "superfight" against Sperry. The only ADCC match he ever lost was a decision against Arona when he was out-of-shape. Maybe not the best, but I don't know how anyone can suggest that Kerr was not one of the most successfull ADCC comnpetitors ever.

The "Smashing Machine version" of Kerr has never fought anyone who could give even a drunk Fedor a halfway decent warmup fight. Lots of heavyweights would look impressive against those guys. Igor was Kerr's first real opponent, and we all knew what happened. Fujita was the second one, same outcome. Kerr was a strong wrestler with little gas and little ability to keep his shit together once things didn't go his way at any point.

Rulon Gardner with more MMA training would have a good chance against Fedor based on styles. Kerr is basically a lightheavy with lots of vitamins, Gardner is a superheavy who has shown pretty good submission defense and the ability to bang even in his very first fight.
