Well, actually 2 hours ago I bought it. I picked up the Panasonic GS150. It a great little 3 chip palm size mini-dv. I'm going to use it for various ideas that I have including this new website that I'm jumping off this month. Look out, it's going to be a busy spot. I can use it for some low budget b-roll with my dvx100. Anyway, for any of you guys looking for a great low price 3-chip, this camera gets great reviews. I've seen footage on it and wow! Great for the price.

Congrats on the new acquisition. Why not another "professional" camera? I don't know anything about this camera but from your describtion I'd assume it's a few steps down. For me, it's hard to buy something below what I'm used to.

Nevermind, I just read the other thread and realized that for under $500 you can't go wrong.

Yeah, it is lower quality from a video quality standpoint but for the purpose that I will use it for, it is perfect. Most of what I will shoot on it will be part of an online project that I'm going to launch this month. It exceeds my needs for that actually and will be able to be used for rough b-roll on the fly footage gathering. Each camera serves its purpose for me. Some lower end ones provide a great look and feel.

Aaron, This camera is actually better than I expected. I'm glad that I got it when I did. The new version has a different lens. I got the better lens. The new version is still solid.
