My undergrad degree is in computer sci. After grad school I'd like to become an economic analyst. Maybe work at the fed.

I'm a finance major and sometimes I wish I would have went into something with computers. Too late to turn back now though.

"What's wrong with Dallas?" Are you being serious? Or are you more in disbelief that someone would rather not live in a place that has such bad weather, one of the worst airports in the nation, terrible traffic, and very little to offer otherwise?

Dallas is not as bad as FiatLux makes it out to be. I've lived in Dallas for a couple of years and it has been pretty good. The weather isn't bad (I've definitely seen worse), DFW airport isn't great but unless you're making frequent trips it really shouldn't be a determining factor, and the traffic...well the traffic does suck. It also offers plenty in the area of entertainment. I have two young daughters and there are many things to take them to, and if my wife and I want to have a night on the town, there are more than enough places for that as well. Everybody enjoys some cities better than others; to each his own. The best thing to do would be to take a trip down here and check out the area and school for yourself.

UD is Catholic and it is a fine school in Irving. UTD is a public school in Dallas and also is good.

I'm probably going to transfer there in the fall. Lot of Asians and Indians. Ugly campus. Good reputation for math, computer science, engineering, etc.,. Texas Instruments has given tons of money so all the techy stuff is decked out. Not a traditional University as there are no dorms and is mostly a commuter college. Not a real big campus life. Dallas isn't a great city, but I've grown up here and gotten used to it. There is LOTS of top notch BJJ (about ~15 separate schools with Machado or Alliance blackbelts in DFW) and good muay thai(Saekson Janjira.)

UT Dallas has a good engineering program. I am considering go there for SE Masters degree. I believe it does have dorms (off campus aparments)
