"A=A" is very Zen like to me. It's kinda like "now I do this". Shit is what it is. Deal with it. ???

Ayn Rand blasted Zen Buddhism, dude. She believes Zen is detrimental to the mind or something.

BTW, Zen doesn't believe A = A. They believe A can equal anything since reality is an illusion. The A=A analogy, used by Rand, is about reality existing outside of our minds. In other words, A does not equal A just because you said so. It equals A because that's reality. Rand was basically saying that trees exists whether you believe it or not. And jumping off a 2,000 ft cliff will kill you whether you believe it or not. The point is your thoughts or opinions does not alter reality.

"The point is your thoughts or opinions does not alter reality. "

not that I disagree with that, but I don´t think that this is the "point" with A=A. You can make identitystatements without refering to anything empiric "out there in reality".

lol, ok. Forgive me, english is not my native tongue.

2=2 is an identitystatement for example, and this is true no matter what happens in, or what you know or not know about the empiric "reality"

Unicorns are unicorns, no matter whether they exist or not. "A=A" doesn't say anything but that "=" is a reflexive relation. ;-)
