Or whichever country you are from. Which 23 would you take?

I'd pick this squad, although I'd be hoping some of the players don't get on the pitch. Obviously if fit I would've picked Scott Parker ahead of Carrick and Luke Young ahead of Glenn Johnson.

GK
Robinson
James
Green

Defenders
G Neville
Johnson
Terry
King
Ferdinand
Carragher
A Cole (if he ever decides to play again)
Bridge

Midfield
Beckham
Wright Phillips
Lampard
Gerrard
Carrick
Lennon
Cole
Downing

Attackers
Rooney
Owen
Crouch
Defoe

Agreed for the most part. Don't know if I'd take Lennon ahead of another backup player for the centre, although I suppose Beckham could be brought inside if need be. Ashley Cole has started playing reserve games and should be back.

Yeah and also Joe Cole would be good in the centre I think. He's creative and he's hard working, better than P Neville, Jenas or Hargreaves by miles. I don't rate Glenn Johnson very highly but I couldn't think of another decent RB.

On a side-note, why does Gareth Barry never get a look in anymore? Especially since everyone always cries about the problem of the left. Obviously Joe Cole's development has been a factor, but it seems that Barry would have been a great choice but Sven shunned him. Anyway, hmmm.

Well now they're fucked. If Rooney and Owen are both injured they might as well not bother going. **Edit**
Just heard Owen is fine. Still, no Rooney, no point.
