There are not many things that really impress me when it comes to a mouse but lately I have been deep in the world of editing and literally was shut down for a few days from hand cramps. I went down to Tekserve and spoke with one of the top dogs there about my hand problems and he turned me onto to the Kensington Expert Trackball. Wow! What a difference. I am used to it now and swear I would never go back to that old mouse thing. It is much faster and more efficient from a work standpoint not to mention it saved my hand from being submerged in warm water to stop the pain. If you haven't tried a trackball mouse before, I highly suggest picking one of these badboys up if you are doing any editing/computer work for long periods of time.

The beast in all of it's glory. It actually comes with a wrist rest as well that makes it that much more comfortable.

Oh and that trackball is the size of a cue ball. The black ring around it is the scroll wheel. The buttons are fully programmable and can be programmed for multiple applications so when you open a new app it adapts to that! The speed of the cursor can be configured at an arc as well. Crazy ability to fully control this!

My wife and I have been using logitech trackballs for years.  I've had surgery on both elbows, and a mouse bothers them.  I prefer the trackball style where you move the ball with just your them, and your fingers do the clicking on the buttons.  My wife has had problems with carpal tunnel and cysts on her wrist as well.  A mouse is excrutiating for her.  She likes the trackball where you use the tips of your fingers to move the ball, with buttons on either side.

Trackballs kick the snot out of ANY mouse, imo.

I'll have to check out the Kensington.  Never seen one in any store around here though. :(  Where'd you get it Lynn?

Adam

Adam... I got it at Tekserve here in the city. You can find them at quite a few stores online though. Lynn

Well after a few weeks of using it. There is no way that I can go back to a regular mouse. This thing is fantastic for editing!

""analogy" feel? An "analogy" to what?..lol." lynn my friend, you are a doc making genius but i see your english isn't quite up to par! i think what saucy's bitch was getting at was analog not analogy...and i assume he meant analog as the adjective not the noun. Although in your defense I think that may still be an improper use of the word analog and he probably meant something else, but who knows. :)
