Aaron, It is a great camera for the price. You would be very hard pressed to find a camera that compares to it for the dollar. What are you planning on shooting with it? Side note. My friend sold his and now regrets doing it...lol.

I would use it mainly for traning video. I have done rather well so far with a single chip canon but it is most crtainly time to move up to some a little more full featured. Cost is of course an issue and you are not the first to call the DVC30 the best at its price. It sets at the very top (if not a little above) my price range.
