Mick- I hear what you're saying...but IMO he hesitated with the stretch because there was a player right in front of him and he HAD to weigh that up in his mind. Otherwise he'd have looked like a right plonker if he'd have dived and the ball hadn't even made it to him! This split second decision gave him no chance of getting to the ball....he was fucked either way really.

No doubt if it had been given against Newcastle I'd be fuming. You can always expect shit decisions from Uriah and his cronies.

It was definately very odd. I could be wrong on this, but didn't the line judge(if thats what ya call him) rule it offside, and Uriah overruled it? That in itself makes if really odd.

I think the Linesman flagged initially then put his flag down. Which obviously pissed off the West Ham players even more.

1-0 @ home to lowly Watford?.......... Oi I may be a new fan, but I'm already starting to feel the pain. Detroit Lions and West Ham...... boy can I pick the teams to cheer for.

Yeah, well I'm also a Detroit Tigers fan, and until this year, they were giving me nothing to cheer about either. Add the Chicago Blackhawks to that, and I've had a really rough go of it in the past 10 years or so. But hey, if the Tigers can turn it around then so can any of the others. West Ham 1 - Liverpool 0....... That seems to be the score when they play anyone good at home.

Tigers end was brutal though too....they were heavy favorites. At least you're used to supporting heartbreaking teams. That will set you up nicely for a lifetime of West Ham following.

Upson must be one of the most over-rated centre halfs I have ever seen.

He was the best player on the pitch until he went off Mick. We seem to be doomed......

Doomed is about right. How do ya lose 4-0 in a game that important? I'm glad I was at work instead of watching that. On a side note..... New signing Mascherano was good enough to start for Liverpool today, yet not good enough to play in more then a handful of matches for the struggling Hammers. Did I miss something?

I'm seriously thinking about deleting this thread....FFS!!!!!!!

KK - I watched until 2-0, when it became obvious that there would be no way back. The whole Masher thing is a complete mystery.

We have about a 50-1 chance of escaping I'd say right now. Infact, if I was a betting man, I'd say we'll be 20th by a few points at this rate.

I don't know WTF has gone wrong...but it's been proabaly the worst ever season as a WH fan because of the high expectations in the first couple of months. What a fucking nightmare.

Being in the Championship will suck for a number of reasons, but the most important one for me personally is that I won't be able to watch any of the games. The stream sites only do the Prem Games (99/100 times)

*Sings BBC jingle* Hammers may face points deduction West Ham could face disciplinary action from the Premier League for fielding two ineligible players. The Hammers are the subject of an investigation into the registrations of Argentina World Cup stars Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano. Tevez, 23 and Mascherano, 22, joined in August, but their registration with third party Media Sports Investment may have breached regulations. The Premiership strugglers could lose points if they are found guilty. A points deduction would almost certainly condemn West Ham to the Championship as they are already 19th, nine points away from safety. Tevez and Mascherano joined West Ham on 31 August from Brazilian side Corinthians, but the deal was brokered by MSI, who owned the rights to the two players. The Hammers reportedly failed to hand over vital documentation to the Premier League and could be charged under rule U18 concerning the influence of third-party ownership. Mascherano has since left the Upton Park club to move to Liverpool.
