They don't even have it on amazon. You can click on it but it says "not available" when you check your shopping cart. Where can you get this damn thing?

If you can wait a month or two the new 2007 version will be out. Looks like some pretty cool additions too... * A new default GUI as a result of user feedback, which is said to be more user-friendly. * A revamped scouting engine, allowing for more realistic scouting of potential stars, including the ability for scouts to 'learn' from their experience. * Enhanced media interaction, including the ability to make comments on any player in the world, previously only limited to other managers, in the game. * An improved youth team system * Pre-match team talks, along with greatly improved half-time team talks. * A hints and tips section which displays when the game is being saved by the user. * An option to ask your own team's players what staff or players they would like you to bring to the club. * the ability to create a feeder club affiliation - allowing big clubs to set up a relationships with a small club and vice versa. This can be used by users managing larger clubs to 'farm' out players to their feeder club to gain the first team experience that they, otherwise, would not get at higher levels.

I am too. I actually had a cousin of mine pick it up in Ireland and bring it back for me when he came to visit. The version they released in the US and Canada is called Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006, that's probably easier to find in the states

$75!?! It only cost me a case of our finest, cheapest American beer...god bless the Irish!! And $75 will only be the initial cost, once you get it it will cost you countless hours, and possibly friendships and relationships...ridiculously addicting game

BigRon is correct. Thats where I got mine from. And damn that game is addicting. I actually just got fired from West Ham out of frustration. My team was playing so bad that I fined every player two weeks wages. It then said the players revolted and I was fired..........Oi!

I'm shocked, shocked that the OG is advocating piracy. Oh well it's too late I already spent the money.

"I'm shocked, shocked that the OG is advocating piracy. " hehehehe.........I'm actually gonna buy the new one, and I just picked up the older version a month or two ago. Figured it was pointless to buy both of em within a three month period of eachother. P.S. BUy Park Joo-Young. He plays for the Korean national team. He is relatively cheap to buy, and will put up big numbers in both the Champions and Premiership.

First thing I do when I start a new game is raid the Scottish Premier League. Garry O'Conner, Derek Riordan, Craig Gordon, Stephen Caldwell, Kris Boyd, Paul Hartley, among many many others are all great, cheap buys for Championship and mid-tier Premiership teams

I just started as the bristol manager, a league two side (figured I'd start small)....and my first match was a friendly against manchester united, wtf? We lost 6-0.... Then I told the media I "respected" Alex Ferguson, and he told them he wasn't sure if I was incompetent or not, lol. Then lost 3-1 to a scottish team. Well, at least it's an improvement. I have no transfer funds right now, so getting this young or berg guy isn't gonna happen. I'm a little lost. There any online guides for this game or anything? All I could find were lists of players.

Also, is there a way to skip matches? I have like four friendlies left and I don't want to bother with them.

Maybe the work permit wouldn't go through because you are a lower tier team. I got him on my first try. He scored 27 for me in my Premiership season, and then 33 in my Championship league season after relegation.

What does "technique" mean? How is it different from first touch?

My current team is really pissing me off. They will beat Chelsea and Liverpool, but lose to Wigan, Reading and Watford. The no good, no talent bums.

Make sure you select autoassign on the training screen otherwise your players won't be doing any training. I think this is what has happened in real life at Newcastle.

A couple more players that I recommend ya picking up. Stephen Adoyele Makinwa(Nigerian International)......... scored 32 in 32 games. Hugo Viana(Portugal)attacking midfielder......lots of assists, and good for 15 goals.

Screw real football, this game is much better. Thanks for the signing tips....most of them I can't afford since I'm league one Swindon right now. But I'm in the midst of selling on the guys I started with for 600k+! Crazy. I'm in december and I'm second in league one after getting a gajillion injuries in september-october. Has anyone trained a player for a new position before? How does it work? I have an overload of good central defenders and a couple of them could be defensive midfielders but they're not listed as that. Also, how do I handle team talks? I found a guide on the internet but a lot of times they give me a different set of options not covered in the guide.

Only time I tried the retraining thing my player got unhappy as he didn't like training so I gave up. The team talks I don't really pay much attention to. If the team are doing well I say Well Done. If they're not doing so good I encourage them. Sometimes it gives you different options if you are winning easily or losing heavily. I found that slagging off the players doesn't really get much effect on them.
