Not sure where he came from. Maybe a bird dropped him. Assume black rat but has some yellow circles between saddles and some saddles appear to be very dark red as opposed to black.

That's what I thought. Got people on the rat forum on kingsnake, saying it's a corn. I'm confused.

How long was it? I thought corn at first too, but then there I see no red at all, and the only place I know that anerythristic corns occur in the wild is S. FL, so I figured more likely to be black rat, given the location. But some corns can have suppressed red when they are very small.

This was a hatchling. Had yellow circles in between the black saddles and the saddles do have a reddish appearance. Strange. I'm still not sure.

Got that right. I'm still not convinced the Kingsnake.com folks are right but 4 of them seem rather confident and I have caught black rats and this guy was slightly different.
