Greetings from Iraq. So there I was, rolling in the "House of Pain" gym. With some short stocky guy, that I meant at Camp McGregor. I start talking with him and a few names came up... Jon Preston, Matt Larsen, and then he talked alot of smack about Chris... I ran into Andy Heyman, He got to Tallil two weeks after I did, Guess I found me a training partner in Iraq. *****The conditions for training here are poor. I told CPT Heyman I would put the word out, so here it is. IF anyone has or knows where any equipment that can be donated, let myself or CPT Heyman know.*****

Also...need people interested in training in MMA as well. I envision doing MAC on Sat and Tues and MMA on Sun and Thurs. Anyone out there that wants to participate and/or help instruct is welcome! I'm the new garrison MWR officer...so getting the equipment we need is a priority on my list.

This is plagarized from Matt O. A great night for the program and XFF. MACP dominated the fights last night. Cooper came out and dominated his opponet from the mount then finished with a triangle as his opponet rolled into the guard. Camphouse had his fight finished until it looked like he slipped and lost his back. Troy was fighting from the guard most of the fight but then pulled out a tight triangle for the submission victory. Eric Runcci had a pretty good showing finishing his fight with strikes. Keith was very ready for his fight but didn't get a chance to show his skills since he took his opponets back. From there the guy rolled and set him up for the triangle. As the guy postured from the triangle, Keith transitioned to the armbar finishing the fight. And last but not least, Damien came out banging with his dude, delivered some damage and then finished with strikes. All in all MAC had a great showing and showed the Georiga fans what the Army's program is all about.....Congrats to ALL the fighters. Matt Hope that helps. chris

Preston...no...what chick? Matt...the legacy continues... Had a f'n great turnout tonight...48 hours of word of mouth and we had 15 pax...5 of which were Aussies! We brought it so strong that the Salsa dancers cancelled their class...although...on second thought...maybe we would've liked to have the salsa dancers there. I know the mats suck...but gimme time, I am working it. I also got word on the way out that 2 gentlemen from KBR w/ alot of boxing experience would like to train us...I'm ganna try and get them to show up on Thur. Thanks to everyone who showed up at the "House of Pain", and keep bringing it! Andy

Andy - Sorry I couldn't break away from work last night. Are you all training now on Thurs too? Time? What's the usual agenda (standup?, grappling?, both?). My only problem is I only have about 2wks left. James

You're right! 2 wks is 2 wks. Even though I am part of the AF, I don't have a "regular" job/schedule so each day varies time wise. I really miss training so I will do my best to get there. In-shah Allah (...lol). BTW - Are newbies welcome? I have a guy in my office that has shown some interest.

Everybody is welcome, regardless of skill level. A pro can learn from a newbie as well as a newbie from a pro.
