My condolences Kampen. Saddam should have picked a weaker target than the Bushes to mess with. They owned his ass on a COSMIC level.

"Oh so you prefer religious nut cases like those who run the rest of the Islamic world." No Im actually not too big on arab leaders calling for unending open war. But I have a special disdain for socialists who are actively anti religion. Ive researched their handiwork in the past and I cant say Im fond of it. Mao and Saloth Sarr(Brother number one) come to mind and they both sucked. "for HELWIG this is his order of preference: 1. Evangelicals 2. Jews 3. Catholics 4. Hindus 5. Buddhists 6. Satan worship 7. Muslims 8. child rapists 9. secularist 10. socialist 11. communist" Im now honestly concerned that you may have a severe retardation.

We have murdered an ex CIA employee. We backed the military coupe of his countries, ignored the human rights offenses he commited in his country with the weapons we provided him. Some retireees get a gold watch, he got a rope necklace.

"Even so, he isn't alive to torture/kill the people who disagree with him or abuse his power otherwise. He was truly a man the world will be better off without." same can be said about many other leaders. Why aren't we going after them also?

"same can be said about many other leaders. Why aren't we going after them also? " because not all bad guys are relevant to the US strategic interest. Pretty simple really. Besides, if the US did, people like you would be the first to whine and complain about it. Warmongers! Not the world police! blah blah blah. Either way, you bitch. How about constructive discussion? Just for once? hmm?

umm, didn't saddam regularly defy the U.N. sanctions, regularly fire on our planes who were enforcing the no-fly zones, try to assassinate the first president bush which is against all international laws and treaties, AND was given like a month or more to surrender which would have avoided the war and occupation all together ?!? so considering all of that, who's fault is it that things ended-up this way ????? hmm, now lets think about that for a minute ... its not the fault of the U.S. that the state law and religion is so intertwined in these middle eastern countries that they are breeding grounds for hatred and intolerance of people who are not like them, and the resultant muslim violence which is at the root of like 90% of the world's conflicts (from lebanon to israel to iraq to sudan to somalia to chechnyia to kashmir to afghanistan to india to spain to london to indonesia to the phillipines).

Well, I hope any would-be strongman takes note - taking US money is no guarantee that your actions are beyond retribution.

the middle east is a breeding ground for hatred and intolerance - and religion is used to perpetrate this. they teach hatred to their elementary school kids. eventually somebody is going to have to step-up to the plate and do something about it. its a difficult job, and a little tolerance amongst the muslims over there would go a long way in helping the situation, but sadly tolerance is apparently not a big thing in the muslim religion these days ... at least not on the state level where all of the countries from iran to saudi arabia to yemen to syria are basically hyper-religious dictatorships.

"Even so, he isn't alive to torture/kill the people who disagree with him or abuse his power otherwise. He was truly a man the world will be better off without." What do you think we did in Central America (were still there)by propping up all those dictators and giving them free reign to torture and kill all political dissidents? They are still digging up cadavers in mass burial graves over there. Who do you think financed all that?

"Finally, Saddam pays for 9/11" Yeah, thanks for making it clear. If Saddam hadn't invaded Kuwait in '90 and hadn't forced the US and the world to come and kick him out, we would never have been in the region and never have been stationed at Saudi Arabia. 99% of Americans wouldn't even have ever heard of Iraq or Kuwait, and 9/11 would never had happned. But as it is, because of Saddam, we were stationed in the gulf and Saudi Arabia, and this pissed off the ever peaceful muslim named osama bin laden.

Ya know, if Mohamed's father had shoved it up Mohamed's mother's ass instead of impregnating her we wouldn't have to deal with muslims at all. I blame him.

^ Well that certainly discredits the concept of cause and effect, as well as responsibility for ones own actions. Weak.
