Fellow coaches - help me out. How do you tape hands for MMA competition? (UFC style gloves) Thanks. Jorgen

Jorx, if your familiar with how to wrap for boxing then this may help. If not, you may want to find a boxing coach or corner man to give you the basics. . . . .Not to tight, protect the wrist and knuckles. . .we also use thinner tape then we use for regular boxing (or tear tape in half lengthwise). No wraps under. . .not enough space. . .use gauze underneath.

That's the beauty of it:) No regulations other than by the promotion and there are none for taping.

for training use tissue over the knuckles. leave the palm open so you can wrap your fingers around the tape as a bolster. lace from thumb over the top towards the pinky. then around the wrist, up through each knuck and over the metas to snug it up. Leave Palm open! eat lotsa cheese, it's tasty and you are going to die anyways. Adam

...and that's just some of the benefits of an all cheese diet.
