Well, only once every four years. It's a summer sport here because they don't want to go up against American football or basketball for viewers (they still go up against baseball but that's unavoidable as the baseball season is so long). I hope they eventually change it though.

To a certain extent, but I'm one of those guys that likes it because you get to see a lot of young prospects get more playing time. Well, that and my team never has a lot of internationals on it lol. a winter schedule could not work here. our country is way too large, which means a lot of different weather depending on where you go. That and the casual fan would never turn out.

"a winter schedule could not work here. our country is way too large, which means a lot of different weather depending on where you go. That and the casual fan would never turn out." I think it could, they come out for american football in outdoor stadiums through december and january. I just think eventually the american club season should line up with europe's. It would make everything easier.

The new season is less than a week away! And the New York Train to Fuckedville continued on schedule when NY picked up Clint Mathis from Colorado lol. Enjoy the train wreck in 2007!

They should just have a sizeable winter break IMO. But yeah, they need to line it up with Europe's season.

I think he's coming in July, DJ Oh, and a yearly Ohio tradition that is the Columbus home opener would not be complete without shitty weather. Seriously, every year the game is played in freezing weather with rain, and this year it's going from weeks of 70+ sunshine to snow by Saturday lol.

Oh, and it's official: Cuauhtemoc Blanco to Chicago Fire. As if there wasn't enough reason to hate Chicago :P

I hate him more than any other Mexican footballer, so that says a lot lol Got my season tickets in this week, so it's all set for the below freezing Columbus home opener. Go Crew!

It's actually about 110 quid... And I don't like Blanco any more than you do invalid, but my team signed him so I have to deal with it. I wish they would have used that DP spot for one off the others I heard they were interested in. Maciej Zurawski would have been ideal...hell I would have taken Borgetti over Blanco also. hopefully he comes ready to play and isn't another Jorge Campos

that would be Jared Borgetti. He was horrendus at Bolton, but he's scored bags of goals everywhere else he's been. And doesn't have the bad character rep that Blanco does...
