So I was gone all last week, I got home friday night and fed my roomates(he works out of town also) Cat. Around 9 he wanted to go out to take a dump, I let him out. Around 11 I was going to bed and called him to come in, he didnt respond so I left the door open for him. It's now tuesday and he has not been seen since. RIP, Hot Carl.

I bet you masturbated and god killed him. Speaking of cats, my wife moved her car out of the driveway and said I think I saw that cat run out from underneath the car. I looked around and saw the cats tail sitting in the driveway. She freaked out!!! The cat was laying down in the fan shroud and when she started the car it destroyed the cat.

Shawn he was home on Saturday. He don't blame me, I did the same thing he does every night. Yesterday I drove around the neighborhood to see if he was road kill, didn't see him though. LOG, I laughed everytime he would call his cat. Very funny name. He even got it an ID tag with the name on it.

Has he been neutered? Maybe he found a girlfriend somewhere. This is why I would never let a cat outside, if I had one. People don't let dogs out unattended. I don't know why cats are different. I'd just set up a litter box in the garage.

He might still come back. My parents had a cat that was gone for like a week one time.

I'm sure he will be back. Cats tend to stay gone until they get what they want from other cats which I have seen take weeks (not joking). Cats tend to stay around areas they know so he is probably not too far off really.

Letting your cat roam outside is cruel. It's like letting your 4 year old kid play around the neighborhood with no supervision - he ain't gonna last long.

Inner Spiral... I won't even say it. "Cats who live solely outdoors live about three to five years on the average while the average life expectancy of indoor cats is 14 years or longer." http://www.petplace.com/cats/should-you-let-your-cat-go-outside/page1.aspx "The Humane Society of the United States was quoted in 1992 estimating the average life expectancy of free roaming pets to be between 3 and 5 years, while indoor cats can commonly reach ages of 17 years or more." http://www.scvas.org/index.php?page=text&id=keepcats "It is proven that an indoor cat has an average life expectancy of about fourteen years, while outdoor cats have an average life expectancy of about four years." http://www.iheartpaws.com/articles/57/1/Inside-Cats-And-Outside-Cats-By-Matthew-Hick.html "In fact, the average life expectancy for an outdoor cat is about 3 years, compared to twelve for an inside cat." http://www.drsfostersmith.com/pic/article.cfm?aid=105 "Cats left outside to roam freely face an average life expectancy of two to five years. In contrast, cats living within the home enjoy an average life expectancy of 12 ½ years" http://ontariospca.ca/4-carefactsheets-safety-2.shtml
