Chris I have to cut 15lbs in 6 weeks.I weigh 170 lbs and have to get to 155lbs.One thing I have found in the past is that I have cut that last 5 to 10lbs in the sauna and that has left me really drained. For some reason I have not recovered in the 24 hours after. I am very strong for my size so I don't mind weighing 155lbs at fight time. What I don't want is the energy drain.I have tried pedialite and gatorade to recover but neither has helped. Some of the foods that I'm eating now are chicken, nofat yougart, frozen fruit(rasp.straw, black berries and blueberries),bananas, raisen bran in the morning,V-8,apples,shrimp.Is there anything I should cut out or add to my diet. I am at about 12-15% body fat(estimate)so I probably should be fighting at 145lbs if I could get leaner. Anyways I know it should be lots of time but in the last 2 weeks I dropped from 180lbs to 170lbs and I seem to be stuck at 170lbs.My training is wrestling 3 times a week at 2 hours each BJJ 2 times a week at 2 hours each Box/kick boxing 3 times a week at 1 1/2 hours each Weights 4 times a week at 1 hour each running 4 or 5 times a week at 30min to 1 hr. Doing all this with the right diet should be easy.

If your drinking V8 it should be the Fusion V8.  Less sodium.  As far as dieting down to 155 and not doing any of it by cutting I say just get on a nice diet and start doing your cardio in the morning before eating and again in the evening after eating.

Are you drinking milk with your raisen bran?  If so you should cut that out now even if it's non fat.

If you do cut drop the pedialyte and try DELUGE SPORT.  Better caloric profile and works great.  I am sponsored by them but I swear by this stuff.  You can get it at www.ampm.com

Hey Chris I just wanted to thankyou for all the advice you gave me on this thread and the"gotta lose weight in 13 days" thread.I weighed 167 day before weighins and took it of in 3 sessions on the elipitical with a sauna suit.30-45 min each session.I didn't get ahold of any abolene in time but the cut was easy. Ended up breaking my nose and got caught in a triangle but I felt I was winning till then. Thanks again

Well I think I pushed it a little too much in my last fight. In the last 24 hours I cut from 178lbs to 160lbs.It took alot out of me.I won in the first round with about 2 seconds left by armbar and I was lucky it ended there because I was gassing hard. Anyways I'm starting to learn how much to cut without killing myself.I'm going to order some abolene for next time. Thanks again
