UFC strawweight Felice Herrig has been one of the most popular women in mixed martial arts even before women joined the UFC. Herrig has built her popularity on social media with her bubbling personality and her willingness to dress up in costume to spice up her weigh-in or Halloween. Felice Herrig was a professional kickboxer prior to entering mixed martial arts. She held a 23-5 record and won the International Kickboxing Federation Muay Thai Bantamweight title. She also was an IKF Full Contact Rule Tournament Champion and defended that title a year later.
Herrig also competed in the World Combat League for the St. Louis Enforcers.
4) Cammy from Street Fighter
Herrig was a cast member of the show ‘Fight Girls’ which aired on the Oxygen channel. The show did not survive to another season. Herring later made her MMA debut in UWC: Man ‘O’ War in 2009, a fight she lost by split decision.
Herrig won her first pofessional MMA bout against Michele Guitierrez at Unconqured 1 in 2009, a second round arm bar victory.
3) Poison Ivy
Herrig fought professionally from 2009 to 2013 in various local promotions including XFO and HFC, and XFC. She also fought twice for Bellator MMA with decision wins over Jessica Rakoczy and Patricia Vidonic.
In 2013 she signed with startup women’s promotion Invicta FC, but lost her debut by decision to Tecia Torres.
2) Harley Quinn
In 2013 as part of a deal between Invicta FC and the UFC, Herrig was selected to compete on the twentieth season of the Ultimate Fighter. For the first time ever, the reality show featured a complete women’s cast with the first every strawweight title on the line.
Although she would not make it through the tournament, Herrig debuted in the UFC at the TUF 20 Finale and defeated Lisa Ward by submission.
1) Supergirl
Herrig’s most high profile fight to date was her most recent fight against Paige VanZant at the UFC on FOX 15. Herrig would lose the fight by unanimous decision in a fight that her opponent mostly dominated.
Herrig was not released by the organization, but has to return to action since the April 2015 loss to VanZant.
