MMA fighter exposes fake Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt
People who lie about past achievements and belt ranks in martial arts just don’t get it. You may very well get away with it at first but eventually, the truth is going to come out and it may very well end up on the internet like it did for this guy here.
A couple of days ago, this guy in the video below walked into the McGuin Jiu-Jitsu Academy in South Bend, Indiana and claimed to be not only a purple belt in BJJ but also a police officer as well.
While a purple belt may not sound as intimidating as a brown or black belt, a good purple belt will seem like a wizard on the mats to novices of the sport and will clearly demonstrate they know what they’re doing.
In this video, though, after rolling with BJJ instructor and MMA fighter, John McGuin, he quickly gets exposed not only as not being a purple belt, which he admits to but also, he’s not even a police officer as well.
You’ve got to question how well this guy is doing mentally to think that claiming to be a purple belt and rolling at a BJJ academy is going to go well for you. So I’d reckon there’s either something mentally going on here or this guy is just not very bright.
Luckily for him, the instructor, John McGuin, is clearly a very nice guy and was very gentle with him and tried to turn this into a learning experience for him. Not many other instructors in that position would be so kind to someone so disrespectful to not only BJJ and martial arts but also to law enforcement officers.
*Fake jiu-jitsu purple belt and fake cop gets exposed at McGuin Jiu-Jitsu Academy* -a guy walks in and claims he's a purple belt and a cop. What happens next is pure gold. He was a good sport and I made sure no one got hurt.

Nevertheless, the instructor here handled the situation like a class act and probably just earned himself a bunch of new students by demonstrating the true spirit of martial arts.
