Al Bundy boxes Sugar Ray Leonard – doesn’t go well

Ed O’Neil, the actor famous for his portrayal of Al Bundy on FOX’s Married with Children, is well-known for being an avid BJJ practitioner but in this funny clip, we get to see how his boxing skills compare to his skills on the mat.

Unfortunately for Al, though, the boxer he’s going up against in this clip from Married with Children is none other than Sugar Ray Leonard who is arguably one of the greatest boxers of all time.

We see in the clip from YouTube channel ‘Boxing Hall of Fame Las Vegas,’ Bundy giving his strategy to his wife, Peg, but is overheard by his opponent who doesn’t take kindly to his remarks.

Leonard responds by punching Bundy out cold and then in a humorous turn of events, poses for pictures with Bundy’s family who all don’t seem to mind very much that their dad was just knocked out.

In real life though, an encounter between O’Neil and Leonard might go a little different than we see here however as O’Neil himself is now a black belt in BJJ under Rorian Gracie, and we all know how grappler vs striker matchups tend to go.

Nevertheless, Leonard is among of the greatest boxers of all time who deserves tremendous respect for what he’s accomplished and for a pugilist, he’s not all that bad of an actor either it seems.

Ray Charles Leonard, best known as “Sugar” Ray Leonard, is an American former professional boxer, motivational speaker, and occasional actor. Often regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, he competed from 1977 to 1997, winning world titles in five weight divisions; the lineal championship in three weight divisions; as well as the undisputed welterweight title. Leonard was part of “The Fabulous Four”, a group of boxers who all fought each other throughout the 1980s, consisting of himself, Roberto Durán, Thomas Hearns and Marvin Hagler.  [Source: Wiki]
