Boxing icon, Sugar Ray Leanord offers advice for Conor McGregor

It’s been dubbed ‘The Money Fight’ and with good reason, as the spectacle/freak show/super-fight that is Conor McGregor VS Floyd Mayweather Jr has completely captured the public’s interest, putting this fight in contention of becoming the highest selling Pay Per View of all time.

So naturally, all varieties of celebrities both inside and outside of combat sports have given their two cents on the historic match up.

In the following segment boxing legend, Sugar Ray Leonard who is on his way to airport gives his take on the historic event. It’s been no surprise that boxing purists are scoffing at this fight and are giving the Irishman no chance of victory inside the squared circle, with Leonard on record saying it would be a very lopsided affair.

“Boxer against an MMA guy, the dominant boxer wins.”

But the boxing legend has a simple piece of advice for the UFC lightweight champion when he dons the 10-ounce gloves against ‘Money’ Mayweather on August 26th.

Sugar Ray Leonard is an American former professional boxer, motivational speaker, and occasional actor. Often regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time, he competed from 1977 to 1997, winning world titles in five weight divisions; the lineal championship in three weight divisions; as well as the undisputed welterweight title. Leonard was also the first boxer to earn more than $100 million in purses and was named “Boxer of the Decade” in the 1980s.
