Wing Chun master vs. karate blackbelt challenge match – ends BRUTALLY

Canadian Wing Chun master, Pierre Francis Flores, has been making a name for himself the past few years by competing in unregulated ‘street’ fights against fellow martial arts masters and in this video it appears he does it again.

In this fight that happened just this past summer in Vietnam, we see the Wing Chun master, Flores, taking on a Vietnamese karate black belt named Đoàn Bảo Chau.

According to Vietnamnet, the karate black belt, Chau, was the one who originally issued the challenge to Flores which Flores accepted and in the video we see how that goes.

A couple of alarming things immediately stick out to me in this video before the two even come to blows. Firstly, they are fighting on very hard tile floor which is very unsafe if someone were to be knocked out and hit their head. And two, the size difference between these two men is substantial.

Flores is allegedly 5’9 and 200lbs while his opponent is apparently only 5’3” and 136lbs, not to mention quite a bit longer in the tooth than Flores and appears to be in his 50s.

That’s the problem with these kinds of unregulated ‘street’ fights where this kind of location and the size difference makes this fight unsafe.

It doesn’t take long for the size and the youth of Flores to overwhelm his much older and smaller opponent and it ends in quite brutal fashion. Watch the video below and see for yourself.

The one redeeming quality of this video is the respect shown towards the end where the two masters sit down and eat a meal together. However, it would be much better had they both fought opponents more their own size and in a more appropriate arena like in a martial arts gym on a matted surface.
