10 gorgeous Bollywood actresses who are trained in martial arts
Martial arts training can benefit people from all walks of life. Though they can vary quite wildly in terms of effectiveness, there is more to martial arts than just fighting ability.
Martial arts can help instill many traits such as confidence, respect, and focus which can help improve all aspects of your life.
In this video, we see 10 Bollywood actresses who are trained in various martial arts that surely help improve their focus on set as well as help to keep them in tip-top shape.
Quite a few of the actresses in this video like Jacqueline Fernandez, Asin, and Genelia D’Souza all train in the traditional Indian martial art of Kalaripayattu which is a very old art with origins dating all the way back to 300 BCE.
Kalaripayattu is officially classified as a hybrid martial art that includes various strikes, kicks, grappling, preset forms, weaponry as well as healing methods.
Actress Aishwarya Rai, the so-called world’s most beautiful woman, is more than just a pretty face and has also trained in martial arts. Her martial art of choice is karate, specifically the style of Shito-Ryu, which she trained in to prepare for a specific film role.
Karate and other traditional martial arts like the previously mentioned Kalaripayattu may not be as effective as more modern arts like MMA or BJJ, but they can still benefit you in many ways.
Where traditional martial arts really start to become effective though is when you become well-versed in all aspects of MMA (striking and grappling) which will only help your traditional skills shine even more.
