Fox News’ Gavin McInnes fights a ‘pro fighter’

Wednesday, November 16, 2016

Gavin McInnes is a contributor to Fox News and Rebel Media as well as an actor, comedian and writer. He is best known for being a co-founder of Vice media as well as being the so called ‘godfather of hipsterdom.’

In this YouTube video from back in 2009, we see a younger Gavin McInnes taking on a pro fighter for same strange reason. According to the video description Gavin “Said I would fight ANYONE. A pro fighter took me up on the offer.”

The pro fighter who took him up of the offer is named Eric ‘Meathead’ Chan. A quick google search yielded no results so perhaps ‘Meathead’ is just an amateur.

Based on the fight itself, he does not appear to have the skill set of a pro fighter. Much of the fight looks like wild swinging from two untrained guys. Granted the ‘pro fighter’ appears to be in very good shape and is larger and stronger than Gavin.

Eventually Chan catches Gavin with a solid looking combination however that puts him down and ends the contest. Gavin appears to be unconscious for a while and looks to be quite hurt, yet he is laughing when re-watching it while providing commentary.

When asked by his friend Kenny Hotz why he would even do this this Gavin replied “Because I’m a tough guy” displaying his unique sense of humor which he has become well-known for.

The video ends with McInnes getting a CT scan at the hospital where he reveals he has a swollen brain yet is thankfully going to live. It is unclear if he’s joking or serious as he is known for his sarcastic brand of humor.

“Gavin Miles McInnes (born July 17, 1970) is a Canadian writer, actor, comedian, co-founder of Vice Media, and the host of The Gavin McInnes Show on Compound Media. He is a contributor for The Rebel Media and Taki’s Magazine, and a frequent guest on television programs on Fox News and TheBlaze.” [Source: Wiki]
