‘Street fighter’ vs MMA fighter in crazy fight – does NOT go as expected

Sunday, February 18, 2018

In this amateur MMA fight from Arrows Street Fight, also known as STRELKA, we see what happens when a so-called ‘street fighter’ takes on an MMA fighter and it doesn’t go like you’d necessarily expect.

Now, a street fighter pretty much means that they have no real training and, needless to say, they usually (almost always!) get destroyed by someone with any sort of legitimate training, which really should come as no surprise.

However, what we see in this video, is that this, surprisingly, is actually a pretty competitive fight, so much so that it is hard to tell who the MMA fighter is and who the street fighter is!

As previously stated, while street fighters are usually easily dispatched of by legitimate fighters, perhaps a background in street fighting may help give someone a slight edge mentally if they later decide to compete in legitimate mixed martial arts competition.

This may be due to the fact that street fighting is a very risky (and stupid!) enterprise which can and often does result in death or serious injury. Someone who is used to competing in that dangerous environment may actually be a little more relaxed than usual when there are actual rules and referees in place.

So check out the video below to see how the so-called ‘street fighter’ does here against an actual MMA fighter, you may very well be surprised.

ABOUT ARROWS STREET FIGHT (STRELKA):
The project Arrows Street fights started in the summer of 2011 in St. Petersburg. Anyone has the opportunity to take part in street battles without rules. For battles allowed only amateurs and semi-professionals. After a thorough analysis of the data and capabilities of the fighters, the jury forms approximately equal in strength pairs. In the battles involved men of different ages and social groups, which gives the project a truly popular and democratic character. [Source: YouTube]
