Superstar Demi Lovato serious about an MMA fight
The sport of Mixed Martial Arts has been around a lot longer than most people believe, however; it was introduced to the world on a cold evening in Denver, Colorado on November 12, 1993, and called the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The premise was beautiful in its simplicity: to simply answer the question of which martial art is most effective.
Fast forward over 20 years and we now have a sport that jockeys for top position in popularity in many countries. Although the sport has evolved, the original question that was set out to be answered is still one that intrigues people to this day.
This popularity and intrigue does not exclude pop stars apparently with one of the more vocal supporters and enthusiasts of the sport being none other than Demi Lovato. However; her interest does not simply lie in her adoration of the sport…she wants to fight!
Receiving much praise in regards to her work ethic, training, and ability, just take a look at some of the things her coach, Jay Glazer, as well as the news site The Fumble had to say:
Demi Lovato is a bad ass! Not only is she not afraid to speak her mind, but apparently she also has no fear of getting in the octagon! For months, Demi’s been showing off her insane MMA training at Unbreakable Performance Center. Now her coach Jay Glazer is teasing fans with whether or not an actual fight is in the singer’s future. Glazer said Lovato has “brought it up to us a million times.” And he didn’t stop there! “She throws elbows better than most of the UFC guys that come in there,” Glazer said. “She’s definitely one of our fighters without a doubt.”
