The most intimidating MMA fighters of all time

Tuesday, March 14, 2017

The mental aspect of fighting is a huge part of the game. Willingly entering into an area where you can be seriously hurt is a lot to overcome. It’s probably even that much harder when your opponent is someone on this list of the most intimidating fighters of all time.

In the following video from UFC Now with Brendan Schaub, Michael Bisping, and Kenny Florian they break down their top 5 most intimidating MMA fighters ever and there are a few they pretty much all agree on.

Brock Lesnar is seen on all of their lists and that is no surprise there. Not only is he a huge, behemoth of a man but he is also very fast and agile for someone so large. He is one of the few guys who had to lose weight to make the 265lb heavyweight limit. That’s a big scary dude and probably the most intimidating fighter ever based solely on looks.

When it comes to intimidating fighting styles though, few others out there compare to a guy like Chuck ‘The Iceman’ Liddell who is also seen across the board on all of the guys’ lists. Well known for his ‘sprawl and brawl’ fighting style as well as his brutal knockout power that saw him knock out amazing fighters like Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Alistair Overeem and many others.

Another fighter featured with a frightening fighting style is Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic who was famous for knocking people out cold with his left high kick. Though Cro Cop never really found his footing in the UFC cage, he had tremendous success in the ring when fighting in Japan. He won the epic 2006 Pride Open weight Grand Prix where he brutally knocked out fellow frightening figure Wanderlei Silva as well as the always tough Josh Barnett in a single night.
