Rich guy pays to fight Muay Thai legend Buakaw – doesn’t go well
Of all the things you could do in this world with large sums of money at your disposal, paying to fight a Muay Thai killer like Buakaw Banchamek would probably be very low on most people’s lists.
Nevertheless, that’s allegedly what this rich Chinese man chose to do with his money. Perhaps some people really are just gluttons for punishment. And it really doesn’t look like he even bothered training for this fight judging by his technique in there.
Buakaw could have just KO’d this guy instantly but probably wanted to have a little ‘fun’ in there and give this guy his money’s worth. You even see Buakaw throw a wheel kick early on, which is very rare to see from Buakaw whose offense is usually very pure Muay Thai techniques.
Look at the smile from Buakaw at the 1:09 point of the video after his vastly inferior ‘opponent’ throws a body shot in close with his chin way up in the air. You even hear laughing from whoever is doing the filming which is not very common in a kickboxing fight.
The end finally comes around 5 minutes and 40 seconds into the fight when a left hook from Buakaw drops the rich guy. There wasn’t even a whole lot behind the punch, probably 20% of what Buakaw is capable of but it is enough to drop his opponent and finally finish this ‘fight.’
