How to see punches coming in a fight
When thinking about a self-defense situation, you already have a couple of things going for you: one, you are reading this article so self-defense is something that you at least think about, and two, I would say that 90% of the population has no idea how to fight.
Let’s be honest, you will not be put into a self-defense situation when you are prepared. If you are aware of your surroundings, cognizant of the behavior of those around you, and prepared for an attack; more than likely you will not be attacked.
Perpetrators tend to prey on those that they perceive as weak, timid, and scared. Therefore, if you are attacked, you more than likely will not be prepared for it and the attack more than likely will come from a blind spot and, at some point, a punch will be thrown and if you don’t see it coming you are in for a long afternoon, friend.
Now, there are not many people that leave the house during the day or at night that intend to get into a street fight. There are some that do but those people are few and far between as the average Joe has no intentions of getting into a physical altercation…EVER.
There are those instances, however, when this happens and what happens when you are in a situation that absolutely requires you to fight as there is no other option? How about if the situation you find yourself in is one where the aggressor is larger than you and has taken you by surprise and you find yourself in danger?
The guys from FightSCIENCE are here to show you the way…
Neither www.mixedmartialarts.com nor I promote street fighting or physical acts of violence in any form or fashion, however; we wholeheartedly support the advancement of one’s knowledge and ability to protect themselves as well as those around them in situations of peril.
