Three officers try to arrest one man and fail horribly

Thursday, April 06, 2017

Typically when a criminal has been cornered by the police, multiple officers will be used to make sure the offender is restrained 100% for the safely of everyone involved.  But in reality these situations don’t go as smoothly as planned as shown in the following scenario.

Filmed from a window in Sweden the following clip shows a man picking up several rocks and a metal object, which is then followed by him attacking a nearby a police car containing four female officers with the rocks. Once they try to engage the man  he then starts swinging the metal object in their direction and maintaining his distance. But suddenly a bystander intervenes and surprises the man with a body lock take down of his own to diffuse the situation and help out the officers.

But to the bystanders surprise one of the officer escorts him away from the situation (instead of helping complete the arrest), while the other officers try to take control of the man but visibly struggle despite outnumbering the perpetrator three to one.

After getting some distance on the officers the man decides to start striking, getting some success by knocking an officer to the ground before retreating to get some more rocks. At this point the officers retreat back while the man resumes damaging their vehicle. Keep in mind at this point the officers still have not drawn any weapons.

Eventually he calms down and walks away while the officers also walk in his direction in what is a very slow and calm chase.  Presumably they eventually make an arrest as they are out of the camera’s line of sight.

The lesson to be learned here for the cops? Work on your grappling and perhaps let the wrestler help out next time.
