10 UFC fighters ready to take over in 2018
2017 got off to a bit of a slow start for the UFC with some lackluster cards and an overall lack of star power but towards the end of the year, things really started to pick up and some new stars started to burst onto the scene.
In this video, we see the top 10 UFC fighters who started to make a name for themselves this year and may very well become top contenders in their divisions come 2018.
One such fighter who burst onto the scene and may very well take over his division next year is UFC welterweight, Darren Till. Till is not only very big for his division but also clearly highly skilled as well. Many of us got our first glimpse of Till in action this past year against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone where he pretty much destroyed him in one round.
Cerrone had been looking stellar at 170 too prior to the Till fight, save an off night against Jorge Masvidal, and Till made it look easy almost which is a big statement. You can expect to see big things from Till come 2018.
Another guy to look out for in 2018 is Gökhan Saki who is an elite-level, world-class kickboxer who is now fighting in the UFC light heavyweight division. Though Saki had just one fight in the UFC in 2017 (which he won emphatically), he sure is a treat to watch and maybe with another impressive win or two in 2018, we could see him quickly move into title contention.
Another fighter expected to move towards title contention in 2018 is middleweight Paulo Costa who had that great win over Johny Hendricks at UFC 217 plus two other impressive wins in 2017.
Some other top UFC fighters to look out for in 2018 are Zabit Magomedsharipov, Aspen Ladd, Ketlen Vieira, and a few others that you can see in the video above.
