Conor McGregor’s 9 signature fight tactics pulled off in LIVE sparring

Wednesday, May 16, 2018

UFC’s Conor McGregor is perhaps the biggest star ever in MMA history, and when he’s not getting into trouble outside of the cage and actually in the Octagon fighting, he is also one of the best fighters in the world currently with a very unique skillset too.

In this video from YouTube channel, MMA Shredded, we see the UFC megastar’s top 9 signature tactics that he has used to pretty much destroy everyone in his path thus far in his UFC career (with the exception of his one lone loss to Nate Diaz which he later avenged).

One of the tactics seen in the video below is McGregor’s slip-cross-cross combination in order to set up that devastating left hand of his which he used to knock out top guys like Jose Aldo and Eddie Alvarez.

Another one of Conor’s tactics involving that brutal left hand is first set up with the lead uppercut (right hand for a southpaw like McGregor) then driving that cross right down the pipe.

In the video below, we also see Conor McGregor’s use of karate-type kicks like his shuffle side kick as well as his jumping scissor head kick ala Muay Thai legend, Saenchai. Although Conor doesn’t really finish people with these kinds of kicks, they definitely still keep his opponents at bay and on the defense which helps sets up his other strikes.

Let’s hope we get to see Conor put some of these tactics in the above video on display once again sometime soon as he’s been out of action for quite a while now, especially UFC/MMA action. Hopefully, McGregor’s story doesn’t end up as a ‘what could have been’, in regards to his MMA career, ala Fedor Emelianenko, who everybody pretty much believed to be a world beater at the time, yet didn’t quite fight all the top guys during his prime.
