UFC champ Tyron Woodley shows off his freestyle rapping skills

Sunday, August 13, 2017

With the surging popularity of the UFC coupled with the buyout by Hollywood talent agency WME-IMG in 2016, it should come as no surprise that some familiar faces would start appearing in a lot of your favorite television shows and movies. But how many UFC athletes do you think could make a crossover in the music world?

Having captured the UFC welterweight title back in 2016, Tyron Woodley has since authored two title defenses to his credit while also making time to star in hit films like Straight Outta Compton. But in an appearance on the Sirius XM show ‘Sway’s Universe’, the welterweight champion flexes his hip hop skills as he spits an incredible freestyle describing his life journey to making that gold in the Octagon while also touching on topics like politics, the streets, race and even Conor McGregor Vs Floyd Mayweather.

“I’m raisin’ black sons, in white America, I know these lyrics that I’m spittin’, I know they scarin ya.”

“I went from food stamps to f**** champ camps, to h**s outside of hotels with f****g tramp stamps. Tryin to get their book stamped, cos they think I’m with it, tryin to eat a meal with my meal ticket.”
