How would UFC stars Brian ‘T-City’ Ortega and Dennis Bermudez handle being tasered? Find out in the two videos below!

MMA fighters are the perfect candidates to test out of the effectiveness of a taser gun as they are undoubtedly some of the toughest people on the planet.

After all, they are accustomed to dealing on a daily basis with the damage inflicted by getting punched, kicked, elbowed, kneed and trapped in submission holds that would leave the average person yelping in pain or doubled over in agony…assuming they were still conscious afterward!

Man against machine is a whole different ballgame though, so this was going to be a step into the unknown for these two battle-hardened warriors.

The first fighter to be put to the taser test was Brian Ortega, a stellar submission specialist and one of the UFC’s most exciting up-and-coming prospects who holds an impressive 12-0 (+1nc) career record so far in the sport.

Admittedly though, this footage comes from several years ago, long before he made his way to the UFC’s Octagon and it’s also fair to say that ‘T-City’ wasn’t exactly a willing participant here, instead being egged on to do it by his Gracie Jiu-Jitsu teammates, with Rener Gracie being the ringleader behind the camera.

Ortega’s apprehension was proven to be justified as he was soon lying flat on the floor, completely immobilized and attempting in vain to beg for mercy as the charge from the two darts that had been fired at him ran through his body for several more seconds than seemed strictly necessary.

Taser 1 Fighter 0.

Next up to test his toughness in a more recent video was Bermudez, a 30-year-old UFC veteran with a 16-7 record, who holds wins over the likes of current featherweight champion Max Holloway and Clay Guida.

However, the shirtless Bermudez fared no better than Ortega, instantly dropping to the floor while yelling out in intense pain when the hand-held taser connected directly to his spine.

2-0 to the taser!
