Mishap in wrestling class brings the laughs
Wardrobe malfunction are an occasional occurrence in sports, and mixed martial arts is no exception. And combat sports has seen intentional and noble clothes-free calendars in Spain and Finland. However, something different was cooked up in Odessa, Ukraine.
Candid Camera was one of the earliest Reality Television series, well before Reality Television was a thing; in fact,Candid Camera began on radio, in 1947. Naked & Funny takes the prank with hidden camera theme, and add something, More correctly, it takes something away – much of the content centers on a victim removing clothing in front of unsuspecting onlookers. The 2008 series lasted one season of 30 episodes, totaling over 100 skits. Episodes aired internationally in some 40 countries, including on Germany’s Comedy Central.
The content covers a huge variety of situations including retail establishments, out of doors, the gym , tennis courts, as well as on the mats.
Ukraine has a number of world-class wrestler players, including three-time world champion Elbrus Tedeev. Thus it is no surprise that wrestling made an appearance on the series. What would your reaction be if you touched hands and then … this?
Several actresses appeared in the series, using a variety of hairstyles and colors, including Lidiya ‘Lida’ Krasnoruzheva, Olga Pavlenko and, below, Alina Buryachenko.
Doubts have been raised as to whether the individuals purportedly being pranked are genuinely innocent spectators, or whether they are in on the act. The signs are usually in English, presumably in order to facilitate international episodes, which would presumably appear odd to a native Ukrainian. More telling however, there are multiple cameras that appear to focus on the victim. These cameras move, and thus in all likelihood could not have been hidden from the ‘victim’.
Either way, it’s funny.
