Man tries to break 700 concrete blocks in under 30 seconds
I’m not going to lie, the following footage made me cringe a little, while managing to make my jaw drop at the same time.
You’ve probably seen breaking demonstrations executed by martial artists but the following one takes the cake in terms of quality just by the sheer volume of shattered concrete blocks. It also made me glad that I still have two functioning hands.
Breaking is an ancient and respected martial arts technique. Here is a summary of what it is about in case you’re not familiar with it, courtesy of Wikipedia.com:
Breaking is a martial arts technique that is used in competition, demonstration and testing. Breaking is an action where a martial artist uses a striking surface to break one or more objects using the skills honed in their art form. The striking surface is usually a hand or a foot, but may also be a fingertip, toe, head, elbow, knuckle, or knee. The most common object is a piece of wood or brick, though it is also common to break cinder blocks, glass, or even a piece of metal such as steel bars. Glass is usually discouraged, since its shards may cause injury when broken.
Breaking can often be seen in karate, taekwondo and pencak silat. Spetsnaz are also known for board and brick breaking, but not all styles of martial arts place equal emphasis on it or use it.
As you can see breaking is no joke, and demands great toughness. Breaking 700 freaking concrete blocks with your hands is one thing; doing so in under 30 seconds is a true prowess. The man in the following footage certainly was tough as nails and his performance was nothing short of amazing.
Watch as that man breaks SEVEN HUNDRED concrete blocks with his bare hands in under 30 seconds!
